About

I’ve spent two decades building companies and leading commercial operations in sectors where the stakes are high and the margins for error are thin. From protecting commercial shipping lanes against piracy to developing technology that has saved thousands of lives in the Mediterranean, my work has always been about solving real problems in difficult environments.

After serving in the Armed Forces, I moved into commercial aviation — first as a Commercial Executive at Highland Airways, where I led the successful bid for the Scottish Executive’s Public Service Obligation contract for the Western Isles, displacing British Airways. The team and I had 30 days to stand up a new airline operation across two airports in communities resistant to change. We delivered.

I then joined Sunseeker the Super Yacht manufacturer as Head of Aviation, where I established their aviation division from scratch and generated $15 million in revenue in the first year.

From there, I moved into building my own ventures — starting with GoAGT in maritime security, followed by companies in cybersecurity, drone technology, life-saving rescue technology, aviation, and clean energy. I’ve had six exits across these sectors.

Not every venture has gone to plan. Transport and aviation are notoriously difficult sectors, and I’ve had ventures that didn’t make it. But the lessons from those experiences have been as valuable as the successes, and they’ve made me a better entrepreneur and a better judge of risk.
